I think the biggest reason I like the thoughts and beliefs of decades gone by - is the history and pride that was put into what we built as Americans , the pride of workmanship that was put into the cars , the coolers , campers , guitars and goods and services that we all shared .... I may not have lived through the 50s / 60s but the values that my grandparents and my mother instilled in us all carried over from that era .... a time when men did not rely on Red Bull and Monster drinks , but Coffee and Water sufficed ... and they worked as hard or harder than most men can even imagine today .... a time when we didnt swallow fist fulls of Advil or Aleeve , it was a few Aspirin and a shot of Whiskey - A time when there was a respect for authority , our parents and the elderly - all of which seem to be fading away year after year -- A time when you took pride in what you had and did not have to bury your family into debt just to have something a little bit fancier than your neighbor .... a time when you stood up for all that you believed in and did not have to fear the political correct police to come after you .... The days of standing firm in your religious beliefs without offending those that chose to come to America and just simply try to change our core values and beliefs - We all have the rights to our point of view and beliefs - I CHOOSE to be an proud American , I choose to be a Christian , and I choose to support my rights , to carry a gun and use it , I choose to support my rights to believe and worship God , I choose to support our nations military and law enforcement ..... I dont care about race, color or creed -- If I call you a friend or brother - you can believe that until I draw my last breath --- I choose to stand up for what I believe in, and core values I was raised with , dont like it , cool - delete me from FB as well as your life - no problem .... As much as I am here for my family , I am here for my friends as well .... better believe If I ever tell you that I love you, I mean every word ... but in the same way , If you ever get on my bad side, be ready for a battle .... I will stand beside those that stand beside me. We live in troubling times , and if you dont stand up for what you believe in who will ? If you dont stand up for those you care about - Who will ? IF you dont stand tall for your country - who will ? Yep , I know I live old school,. from my music and mentality , to my beliefs and ethics - but as I look towards our future -- I would rather keep what I love in my heart , than fall to the ways of the modern world and the chaos it carries.
