I think the critics of Father Hans Magdurulang the priest who served as the emcee before & after the Papal Mass in Luneta were those who only watched the mass on TV. Lingid sa kanilang kaalaman ang kondisyon nating mga pumunta sa Luneta, halos 8 hours nakipagsiksikan at nakatayo sa may Maria Orosa st., walang tulog, konting kain, nagtitiis sa mabahong portalet, basang-basa sa ulan. The condition in Luneta was almost sub-human na. It was that emcee guy who managed to keep everyone smiling amidst that grueling condition. If it wasnt for him, and of course our faith, marami na sigurong umuwing bwisit. Everyone there was laughing when he made lost and found calls na magkita sa kalabaw. Personally, I found him very amusing kahit sobrang lamig na sa labas. Siya din yung nag-practice sa crowd ng mga kakantahin sa papal mass. Ginawa din kasing festive mood yung mass in line with the Sinulog festival eh. AND HE WAS THE ONE WHO REMINDED US TO BE SOLEMN AND QUIET DURING THE MASS. I think he made a very good job in cheering up the record-breaking 7 million crowd.
