I think the last time I went over to the old Municipal Baseball Stadium would had to have been about 1958/59. I remember my cousin and I going over to pick up lost golf balls from the edge of the golf course that is close by. We sold them to make a few dollars. The old stadium was rotting away but you could tell it had been a nice stadium in it day. It had a tall wood fence that was locked but you could look thru some of the breaks in the fence. I never saw anybody there the times we were there. I dont think it was being used anymore at that time. Seems that I remember a few years later in the newspaper, reading that it burned down. Wish I had one of the old advertisement signs that were on that fence.
