I think the real issue is not about whether Israel is being - TopicsExpress

I think the real issue is not about whether Israel is being threatened militarily by Hamas, its avowed enemy. The issue is not about Hamas firing rockets to Israeli installations. The issue that I want to hammer here in my post is that it is never right to sacrifice the life of non-combatants and civilians for this cruel Israeli operation. Look at the pathetic and heart-rending photos of Gaza in the internet! I say that there is no justification whatsoever in killing civilians and innocents and in bombarding civilian facilities. In its indiscriminate bombing of Gaza, Israel is committing a war crime—it is clear as the mid-day sun! The real issue at hand is that the Zionist State of Israel is the one with much powerful military force, and it is using disproportionate action and military force in bombing Gaza and including in its bombardment civilian facilities! Look at the news in both internet and international news outfit. The force used by Israel is disproportionate and is wrongly geared towards Palestinian civilians and non-combatants. That is wrong by standards of both international law and natural law. Also Israel usurped the lands from the Palestinians, in the first place. The Palestinians therefore have a fundamental right to self-determination in the land that is truly theirs. Israel does not have right to bomb civilian domiciles and facilities. Its fine if they engage with Hamas militarily; but if the Israelis are already bombing civilian and non-combatant facilities, what they are doing is pure and simple genocide against the Palestinian people. Decades upon decades already, Israel has been bombing helpless Palestinian villages and usurping Palestinian lands and massively killing in the most despicable manner Palestinian civilians. Is Israel doing this only for pure military purpose? My hunch is that military defense is just secondary on the part of Israels goal. Years and years, and decades upon decades, in its violating Palestinians human rights and indiscriminately bombing Palestinian domiciles and facilities; and killing thousands upon thousand of Palestinian people, my suspicion is growing by the day that Israel is really intending to commit genocide on the Palestinian people in order to complete its colonization of Palestinian lands! I feel that the peaceful solution primarily lies in Israels hands. If it wants no more attacks from Hamas and from other Palestinian freedom fighters, Israel must truly respect the Palestinian peoples’ right to have a sovereign State and grant their basic human right for self-determination and right to live with dignity, justice and peace. Israel must quit Palestine eventually, a land which they forcefully and cruelly grabbed from the Palestinian settlers in the first place! There is no other way. (Written by Prof. Henry Francis B.
