I think the reason I prefer to write as opposed to having a verbal conversation is due to the simple fact that people can not resist the need to interrupt before you are finished expressing your thought. The same reason I can\t watch tv news debates or mindless banter radio shows , everyone talks over everyone and no ideas ever get completed unless you have to yell and scream like a child. Perhaps this is the reason they want less people to read. Its certainly a lot of the reason they want people to watch TV. Any time someone is afraid of what you have to say or feel intimidated by you they will interrupt and talk over you. I refuse to become a child and yell over your insecurity. People are being trained that if you do not want to argue to win you must be weak willed but the opposite is the truth. Some may say that is acquiescence but I wont stoop to that level of social ignorance. Now I just excuse myself from it by explaining I have something important to take care of ..... and I do .... the importance of leaving an idiotic situation.
