I think we are missing something here in regards to Sean Hannity, - TopicsExpress

I think we are missing something here in regards to Sean Hannity, Fox News, elected Republican leaders, and the cesspool of right-wing so called news outlets (I am sure Rush Limbaugh played his part in recruiting some of his most extreme thug viewers to the scene) handling of the Bundy’s ranch incident. I understand how eliminating the racist ignorance among us is extremely important, but there was a greater ignorance violated here; an ignorance that could have easily cost the lives of innocent American citizens, disrupted the lives of an entire community, and recruited the insanity of violence. I don’t think we should allow Sean Hannity and friends to get away with just the hypocrisy of saying they were against the racial statements made by Bundy. I am just a retired math teacher; I am not a news reporter, journalist, or elected official that is entrusted with the lives of citizens who elected me; but even I could tell from the rants of Bundy in the first place that he was using the same rhetoric used by extreme racist groups. Whenever you start establishing the sovereign power of the state over the federal government, I know where you are generally leading to. Any journalist, reporter, or elected official worth his weight in salt would understand this fact. Even if Sean and friends plead complete ignorance, I doubt very seriously they would have summoned the so called ‘patriots’ to terrorize their neighborhood carrying sniper rifles and other guns around the children they are raising. Can you imagine the lives of the diverse communities surrounding Bundy’s ranch since the arrival of these ‘patriots’? This is the crime that we should hold Sean and friends to account for; and we should never allow them to get away with this with a simple apology.
