This information is necessary to avoid unnecessary pitfalls in the future, not only in this forum but in others, where there may be less tolerance...kwani twafundishana. Always comment to drive your point home, using facts and persuasive language and avoid unpalatable discourse that can be used against you! Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King jnr were the doyen of peaceful demonstration that made a lasting impact to date in world politics! Of course there are many more including Bishop Tutu and our own Bishop Muge , Njoya,Olang,Shikuku ,Mekatilili wa Menza and others! Violence and hatred are the enemies of any society! Look at what is happening to our Neighbours in Somalia and now Sudan... Where an estimated 10,000 are dead and millions displaced, just because a leader could NOT contain his TONGUE AND INSTEAD WENT BALLISTIC! dismissing his long time comrades just like that ! The result is a massive war that now threatens the whole region including Kenya ! This post is a generalized post and aims at all of us , men and women of good will in this great county of Kilifi and Kenya in general. I speak as an elder man with experience, and hind sight, knowing very well that there are more experienced and wise contributors in this forum than I , but there are also many if not thousands of members that are school going , young, energetic and very sharp upstairs, BUT NEED MENTORING...even as we pursue hard issues regarding our county and country.... I hope I am of use to them... Just hope. Let us not make them believe that you can say anything without considering its negative impact or whether it adds value or bring the desired change..... Everything you say and write matters, it is sacrosanct and you will need to stand by it IF NECESSARY or CALLED UPON, to do so ! So lets get it on! Cheers!.... Some guys are already on the ground, in the trenches, passing the message of CHANGE... To the grass root....get on the boat and cast out into the deep where the sharks and big fish are!!!!!! As our comrade Stephen , in the diaspora has correctly put it. We have the question and answers from CS Owen Baya ( though he never commented on the water and taxation issue).... Lets interrogate that debate to its logical conclusion , point by point! Add value to the issues raised and answers given and take government to task whilst at the same time looking for your own niche from where you can be part of the desired growth...participate and stop being just another , cheer leader this you can only do if you demand to be incorporated in your village or ward development committee ( for maximum effect) Secondly lets oversight the proposed 100 day initiative! If possible buy tenders and be part of the conduit of funds...in a legal way Thirdly...seek to do your own local investments bearing in mind there will be increased demand for goods and services as devolution takes root in the near future.. Lastly lets form investment clubs to do joint investments especially in INFRASTRUCTURE. and. AGRICULTURE ( AGRIBUSINESS MODEL) Advice our people WARUDI SHAMBA, WAKALIME.....Na walio mijini na diaspora...... TO INVEST now in the rural areas..... Na gava...WAAJIBIKE!
