I think we should not aim at a single objective in life because of mass psychology. Am sorry to those who holds it a highest virtue to increase general welfare of our society. When i first read bertrand russels works on his take on morals and ethics i believed it as a first hand irréfutable truth that, mans main purpose is to love mankind. With what methods he used to arrive at his believe or hypothesis in this case i have no reason to doubt its infallibility... But from my empirical view point each man ought to have his objective in life. This is because there is no common good.we so much vary on what is called gud that i feel we ought to scrape the word from our standard language.. Most of us due to the virtue of the majority philosophy[which if it honestly be told i vehemently abhor] are forced to play to the tune of the world. We should learn to let each of us enjoy to what appeals to his or her subjective good. We dont need sinners and none sinners. We dont need those who r evil or good. Lets have chaos and see what gud springs from a world which is not imprisoned by philosophies of the few.
