I thought I would go ahead and post this morning while he is sleeping. They have taken him off the Fentanyl and put him on Dilaudid so that we can move to the floor later today. It sounds like we might have an eventful day planned. Kyle told me this morning that Respiratory came in during the middle of the night last night and tried to put some kind of face mask over him to make him cough and Cole got extremely mad and ripped his oxygen off his face and pulled some tubing off of an attachment in his arm. Im not exactly sure why they chose the middle of the night to try to do this, but I dont know that they were very successful. They do want him up and moving today as much as possible to keep from getting pneumonia. Hes been breathing really shallow because it probably hurts right now, so hopefully getting him up and moving will expand his lungs a little and get them moving. He was able to have some gatorade this morning, this will help his Sodium levels come up some. He has been running about a 101 temp pretty consistently and this morning it was down to 99.2. He is talking much clearer this morning and moving his arms. When he wakes up, we are going to try to get him out of the bed maybe to blow some bubbles. We are praying for minimal pain today! It may be later this evening before I post again since I will probably have my hands full holding little man! Once again, thank you all for everything!
