I thought I would share one of my many random thoughts. As most of you know, many religions express similar characteristics of what sets god apart from other spiritual beings. The main descriptions tend to be that god is everywhere, was never created nor will be destroyed. Most religions also express some sort of afterlife, one of chaos and one of peace. So being a scientist I look for evidence to support my hypothesis. If am working on mechanisms to explain the how and whys of things, I am fully aware that I cannot never concretely prove my postulates. However I can either disprove or gather strong supporting evidence supporting the proposed mechanisms for what ever I am trying to explain. Thus comes the concept of theory. Religion is no different. It is just as theoretical as science. So now to my random idea. There is one force not just found in nature but in all things and in the entire universe. This force is energy. We know much about energy. But we do not know everything. We also know from the first law of thermodynamics that energy can neither be created or destroyed, only displaced. We know it is necessary for all life and existence for all things. We also know that it can be chaotic and destructive or stable and peaceful for lack of a better term. Therefore what if god is nothing more than energy? What if the key to heaven is having your inner essence (energy that defines who you are) that in tune with the mind body and soul before death allowing your essence to transcend into a more complex field of balanced and stable energy (heaven)? However if your essence is out of tune and chaotic then your essence would transcend into a more complex field of chaos (hell)? In other words if you learn to become one with the balanced or stable energy maybe that is the way to the light of peace. This may send some of you into an absolute fit. But before you respond with mantras from your particular church doctrine, remember I am only posing a question. It is just a thought. After all if one could truly read the bibles account of creation, and if you understood the truth of the the big bang theory one would see that they agree. Anyway this was just one of many random thoughts. I am not claiming this to be fact. But I would like to hear other peoples thoughts.
