I thought I would share this with you all. It appears to be a question that is on the lips of a vast number of people. Do you believe we need to stop islam in this country to maintain our own culture? My Answer:- My personal view is that Islam, particularly radical Islam, is not conducive to the Australian way of life or any Western Culture. Having said that I know of many non-radical Muslims that have lived in Australia happily for many years and have contributed to our way of life. Muslims are not required to eat Halal certified food if it is not available to them and Halal Certification of animal products requires a method of slaughter that is totally opposed by the RSPCA and animal rights movements. Once again my personal view is that Halal Slaughter is inhumane and should not be practiced in Australia. The Islamic view of marriage (polygamy) is against the legal stance on marriage in Australia (monogamy) and therefore a person who practices polygamy in Australia would be guilty of bigamy. As stated by the Australian Parliamentary report Sharia Law has no place in Australian culture.
