I thought people on this forum would find this interesting, since I like to think we all aspire to a high standard of debate, and therefore want to understand the rationale behind views different from our own. (Theists: please do not get the wrong impression from the fact that Dawkins is in the thumbnail and the trailer. He isnt in the movie very much, and this is far from being an atheist film). Basically, the filmmaker took 80 or so of the big questions (why do we exist, does god exist, what is good, what is knowledge, is there an afterlife, etc) and asked them to people from every school of thought in the world he could find (catholic, Anglican, Protestant, Druid, Jewish, Animist, Buddhist, Jain, new age, secular/scientific, Tao, and many others). Its the best catalogue Ive found on the range of answers humans have come up with to these questions. Anybody interested in understanding views that differ from their own should watch it. Theres a feature-length film, and a multi-disc, in-depth companion series (I recommend the latter).
