I thought some of you would be interested to know that my camera body is coming up for Best Buys Deal of the Day for $629.99. The body alone on Amazon is $533.45 currently, and the lens theyre offering with this is $496.95... So it looks like a pretty sweet deal. The lens has a nice range, though it is a DX lens - so accounting for cropped-sensor that gives you the range of FX equivalent of 27-210mm; which is pretty sweet and versatile, and great for video. The lens goes down to f/3.5, so its not ideal for low light situations. Ive had the D7000 for 3.25 years now and I absolutely love it... its served me extremely well. Be mindful it has a cropped sensor (I would like to obtain a full frame model eventually). Some of its other perks that Im particularly fond of are 1080p video, 2 SD card slots, and a great LCD interface.
