I thought that Zimmerman might be given a light sentence, that he might get his wrist slapped, this is, after all, Florida and there was an all female jury. But I never in my wildest dreams imagined that he would be found not guilty. The defense mounted the idea Zimmerman was the victim defending himself from an unarmed but nonetheless terrifying assailant. What an incredibly sad day for civil rights in the USA.
