I today held discussions with Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Eng. Michael Kamau and officials from Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) and Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) in my Machakos Office. My Government will cooperate with the Transport and Infrastructure Ministry to construct cheap standard roads, a railway line connecting Machakos to Nairobi and another connecting Machakos to Konza Techno-City. Tarmacking of Makutano (Mwala) - Kithimani Road will start in January. I also took them round to inspect roads that are currently under construction, Kenyatta Stadium and the Recreational Park.
