I told my daughter to read a couple books, she comes out to tell me she is finished. I picked one up and asked her what the book was about... she couldnt tell me so I told her she is cut off from tv and games until she can. I hate when I make her cry, but I need to be tough on her. She WILL NOT be one of those kids who would rather play with technology then get an education. When I take her games away, with an ultimatum to get them back, she WILL NOT be getting them back until the goal is met. When I ask her to do something and she tells me she doesnt want to, she better figure out Im not backing down, and she really has no choice. She needs to know Im serious. And when absolutely needed please believe she is no stranger to getting spanked. But I hardly ever have to do so because she knows what is expected of her already. Time to get ready for second grade to start, Im not playing. So strict mommy is in full effect and not feeling anything about it. Cleaning house, doing laundry, and getting shit right for the school year. Never knew why the end of summer was so hectic for my mom.... but I only have one child and she had 4. Now I know....
