I told people that the story as originally touted was new-age, pentecostal bull. The man can speak Swedish because he learned it through a Swedish girlfriend three decades ago. People do not wake up speaking a language that they have never learned. It does not happen. I suppose if you learned a little of some language and hung around people who spoke it and watched a lot of movies in it, you might find out you have more vocabulary than you knew. Pentecostal speaking in tongues does not exist. Miraculous learning of languages has never happened (apart from the marvel that all children who acquire language inspires).
