I took my car this morning to have it washed and get an express interior detail, which basically meant a thorough vacuuming and wipedown of interior surfaces. (Id cleaned it out in anticipation of driving the carpool starting this afternoon, and figured since Id removed the accumulated crap, it was a good time to have this done.) Within three blocks of pulling out, I noticed that the airbag light was on. (Blinking, actually.) I took it to the Toyota dealership, which said they wouldnt have time to work on it because I didnt have an appointment and this couldnt be done by the express people. I tried calling Lydas awesome inexpensive mechanic in Roseville, who said, but they said they refer airbag lights to the dealership anyway. WTF did the car wash place do to my car? And what are my odds of getting them to pay for it? (It was Soapy Joes on West 7th, if anyones wondering.)
