I took some time to visit the National Assembly today. First, - TopicsExpress

I took some time to visit the National Assembly today. First, congrats to our Prime Minister-cum-Vice President for firing on all cylinders today on genocide, reparations, tribalism and nation building. He was his old self and like him for his candid and frank views. His statement revealed yet also inspired those of who have grown up with protocol, polity and procedure: newcomers must learn to listen and wait! Secondly, I am impressed by the comprehensive Constitutional amendments being proposed by the SWAPO Party. Its not piece meal, and deals with variety of contemporary issues. The News Media and Social Media misleading about many of the issues. However the motivation speech of the Bill was not high quality and could have been better. Finally, I hate male chauvinism. Why do people think women will do poorly given 50/50 ration? In any given Sunday, we have more women in attendance and leadership in all churches I attend. They are our mothers who brought us into this world and who nurtured us into what we are. There are lot of men, leaders including pastors, who are struggling to manage the institutions we lead. I say no to gender discrimination against women at all places, at all times!
