I totally forgot about how much work went in the music for Animal Rescue! This was the first film that I arranged the music for a film myself (with my trusted asst editor and musician Ashley). We went through dozens of temp tracks--from High School drum lines to 80s heavy metal and finally decided to use a pre-war German anthem as a wink at the films cartoon fascism. The music was produced by the wonderful Per Kjeller, fellow Swede and friend of Stefan Nordin who composed the music for Thanks Smokey! Per also performed the great electrical guitar in the score. Its a totally interesting arrangement and I cant listen to the section at :35 without bursting into a smile. Really good stuff:
