I traveled to the city of Bullard this morning to Austin State Bank to join the honor guard from the VVA Chapter 991 to retire the American flag that was very tattered and replace it with a new one. I felt very honored to be a part of the group. The folks from the bank were very gracious to us for doing the honors but the best part of this morning was going to the middle school and retiring a tattered Texas flag in front of the six grade class that was very glad to see us and the teacher in charge was very grateful to the Honor Guard for willingly conducting this service for them. All the children in our schools need to learn about how great a country we live in but more importantly what price has been paid and continues to be paid for freedom and why we honor that awesome flag. May God continue blessing America and especially those that continue to fight for not only our freedoms but freedom in other countries. If Americans do not wake up and stop those that are fighting tooth and nail to take our freedoms away we will loose what cost so much to obtain. God bless you all.
