I truly cannot wrap my head around this! The Japanese were made whole (well, an attempt wz made) after Pearl Harbor & they bombed us; reparations were made to Holocaust survivors, which wz the right thing to do, esp since Caucasian Americans had a hand in that tragedy too, Koreans in the late 50s, early 60s & (weak & not timely) attempts were also made for Native Americans. None of the above were dragged here in chains & built this country, tilled its land, suckled its young, picked its cotton, grew its rice & lost all sense of self for 400 yrs for free & STILL abused in numerous & ingenious ways, lied to (where r the 40 acres etc.?), & then LAWS were written to make sure they never reached an apology, much less actual reparation???
