I truly dont understand how the minds of criminal defense attorneys work. In todays news, 3 leaders of an ice (meth) smuggling ring were convicted. The amazing part to me was that witnesses identified a particular gun as being used by the defendant. The defendants lawyer said that their testimony should not be allowed, because none of the witnesses knew the serial number of the gun in question. I hope this doesnt set any sort of precedent....as youre being held up at gunpoint, you need to say excuse me, could you hold the gun a little closer, and let me jot down the serial number?
