I truly hope the fact that Sheldon Adelson is a casino magnate who has been a competitor of the Hard Rock Seminole operations in Florida in the past has nothing to do with the fact that Scott Walker rejected 5,000 jobs for Kenosha today. Or those Iowa social conservatives who demanded Walker kill the jobs if he wants a chance at the presidency. Hope it had nothing to do with that, either. The problem is, I cant figure out any logical reason for Walker to KILL this. Dont say the state could have been on the hook for millions, because the Menominee had promised - in a new compact no less - to pay that. Walker killed 5,000 jobs (and the profit sharing the state would have gotten besides) because the state might have to pay money the Menominee would pay the state back for anyway? And that the feds have already said the state doesnt have to pay? Huh? It makes no sense to me. I dont like being treated like a fool. That Michigan law firm we paid to help Walker figure out a way to refuse 5,000 jobs should reimburse the taxpayers.
