I truly love this song. I believe that it touches up on so many areas regarding relationships. Its a great reminder as well. We typically want the easy way in and out of things [relationship talk or i guess whichever]. Which sure is alright, but theres definitely something unique mustering, enduring, and pushing through the hardships. But in all struggles, relationship or not, when we go through it with God, hes the one leading us through it. Healing what has been torn or damaged; usually by our own doing. But that healing he does.. the struggle... its that refinement that he puts us through and its exactly what we need. Ive questioned this so many times, why does God do what he does, and why does he choose to do it at that time? Ive tried to dissect it all, and i came to the conclusion that.. well to understand his timing just simply wouldnt make sense to me, and the reasons to why i just wouldnt get. But simply having that faith is what he asks for. He asks us to trust him. And we should. Theres a line that i like in this song and would like to point out, verse 1, why do we bother to commit, weve got a long list of excuses... So many things can be said about this, but its such human nature. Its such carnal thinking. Simply speaking , this song talks about a couple and their struggle in their relationship, but lets switch it up a bit. Let it be your relationship and Christ; You and Jesus. Its a lot to think about and its a lot to type out. lol. (Plus im getting sleepy so im loosing my thought process, but whatevs. :p) Something to think about. Simply Love.
