I turned 32 today....I hardly, if ever, post on this group but I will do so today because I would say that today marks 10 years since I faded away. I was baptized at 9 years old and did so to please the family. My whole family has become more fanatical about the religion more now than ever. My curious and inquiring little mind always told me something was wrong with this religion. It has been a journey, difficult at times, but also has brought many joys and Ive met wonderful people. There are still struggles due to the indoctrination endured for so many years and the induced fear and phobias from the teachings of the Watchtower. Im working through those. I get happy to hear that so many of you are now living your lives happily and free of such mind control. It is those stories that have helped me to never look back. I wish the best to all my ex-JW friends on here and have a happy 2015!
