I understand and believe that everyone is entitled to their own - TopicsExpress

I understand and believe that everyone is entitled to their own option but ouch this was a tough way to wake up to. I would like to address this article because the world of athletics is my life. I started athletics at a young age for health reasons because I was very sick and anemic. I was doing this to better myself and to become more involved in the community. That all changed when my heart and sole fell in love with wheelchair racing. The world of wheelchair athletics has changed and is still changing in its growth. At the London Paralympic Games the track events was a sell out crowd of 80,000 people in the stands every single day. The public eye is starting to understand wheelchair racing with a huge help of social media and the press. Elite wheelchair athletes train and put the time and focus just like any other elite athlete. In training I put in over 100 miles a week, and lifting twice a week. Wheelchair racing takes unconditional strength in the back, shoulders, arms, and core. What the marathon does and what it shows is that nothing is impossible. Life can still be lived and fulfilled even if you have a disability or not. I want to thank the fans on this page for your love /support, and believing in what I do every single day ❤️ letsrun/news/2014/10/good-bad-ugly-last-years-new-york-city-marathon-broadcast-espn2/
