I understand how the ranger may have been a teensy overboard with it if someone doesnt understand, but for all intents and purposes, for someone who is a trained killer to not do just what he was trained for x amount of years for speaks volumes about his discipline in this situation. Was it rough? Only to the weak or faint of heart. Was it justified? Symbols hold great power in todays societies, and have always had a strong part of human culture. When this man wears a ranger tab, its not just some sliver of cloth. The meaning behind it represents membership of a world class fighting force, the likes of which make those that know their capability shake in their boots. Also, havent several people been arrested for wearing a uniform in false pretense? Someone mentioned that it only becomes illegal when you are receiving benefits, but there is always something to be gained in wearing the uniform. All in all, it doesnt surprise me that people cant fully grasp how the ranger kept his cool knowing that there is a fraud sporting a tab that, along with countless other men of the highest caliber, had 4 brothers die carrying the ranger name and tradition. Not to offend, and this goes along for myself as well, that we will never understand until we walk in their place. There is no way to contest that which we dont fathom. Until you kill in the name of something larger than yourself and have a comrade under the same premise perish before you, you wont fully know.
