I understand that as the host of the show, he must try and question Russells statements but even still, it is kind of embarrassing to see that the ones who provide information cannot see the simplicity of Russells point. Until a revolution happens we are forced to rely on the government. I see how people should not waste their time voting for a group that has a small minded view of things, but as theyre still in control, the only thing we can do is try to convince them of what needs to be changed. We dont need to rub their ego by agreeing with them by supporting them with our votes, but we cant just sit around letting them continue to act on their own ignorance. The point of petitions is to advocate for issues that arent being dealt with by the leaders, so to say that we cant form a petition to convince politicians of current issues without voting for them makes no sense whatsoever. The host is trying to make a connection that does not exist. Petitioning for change is not the same as agreeing with the continuation of actions fueled by ignorance.
