I understand that the people of Tacloban and other Yolanda-affected regions have lost a lot, but to go to the extent of looting malls and destroying ATMs in the aftermath of the storm? This is unfortunate and unacceptable; calamities are no excuse. Despite what happened to them, we cannot defend their actions. Even when the Japanese were reeling from the tsunami last 2011, they continued to behave orderly, lining up for much-needed relief goods. Honestly, that discipline is one reason why they have become a world power while we remain a developing country. Tsk.
