I use to be a courtroom clerk with Maricopa Superior Court in the Probate Division. Every day a young person (18 years old) would be before the judge because money was going to be awarded to them. The monies would come from an accident that they may have been in as a child; it could be from life insurance that they were given as a child, etc. (When a child is a minor, at the time monies are awarded them, the monies are kept in the trust of the courts until they reach 18 years old.) In some cases, we are talking about millions of dollars. Can you imagine being 18 years old, standing before a judge who is going to release this kind of money to you? No one can tell you how to spend it? WHOA! BEFORE releasing the money to these young people, the judge would always give them some WISE ADVICE, and one of the things that they would ALWAYS tell the young person: STAY IN SCHOOL ... get a college education because for every year of college, you will increase your income by $10,000 a year. As yall know, Krizia, left her job here when she went to Washington, and upon her return, she went back to her old place of employment and re-applied. When she originally applied, she was in first year college. She worked nights so she could go to school. WELL! Guess what? When she re-applied, her resume, and education looked a little different--she had earned her AA during the past year--GOOD FOR HER! Bottom line? What did that mean for her? A better position with 50% increase in what she was making before she left--WOW! Her supervisor said it best. So, let me understand, Krizia. You went on a four week vacation, came back, got a better job and more money, with the same company? :D Welcome back, Krizia! STAY IN SCHOOL!!!!
