I use to think that the Sixth Commandment ( Thou shall not kill ) was only about people and animals but the Holy Spirit lets me know that we can hurt and kill peoples spirit by our words. We can actually kill their spirit (along with our own). I pray that my words always encourage, always lift others up, encourages them in some way and that some light is given to them. I am reminded of Hebrews 3:13 where is says : But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sins deceitfulness.
