I use to wear down one of my grade school teachers, by challenging things. I remember saying thats not fair. My teacher would reply, Life isnt fair. That didnt stop me from pursuing the truth in any situation. I think thats what attracted me to a Philosophy major in college. Im still the same way today. While my job is to advocate for my clients as much as possible, I always look for the truth in any situation-, ie, could the IME doctor be correct that this herniation is merely degenerative in nature? This search helps me dig into things which ultimately helps my clients as it causes me to challenge the doctors in ways they arent often accustomed to. Not only do I want to hold the medical experts accountable for their opinions, I want the best information available for my clients about their physical and mental conditions so they can get the best treatment.
