I used to really admire Tavis Smiley, but he lost me years back when he kept attacking the first man to do something that no one thought would be possible. He does nothing to lift up the conversation. He sounds like a thwarted & rejected lover, angry and unable to move on. No matter how intelligent you are, if you are stuck emotionally you can only play one bitter note. Smiley has spent way too many years doing so and now sounds like that car horn in the night that goes on and on angering and frustrating everyone within earshot.
