I used to think being a police officer would be rewarding and enjoyable. Ive always thought I could see myself enjoying that career and making positive impacts. But after countless posts everyday, its sickening to see how many pathetic people go into law enforcement who have the most ridiculous power trips possible. Youre supposed to serve and protect, not cause conflict with innocent people. Several months ago I had a big conflict with the Sac PD which resulted in the entire department responding, including a helicopter, and I have to say that they were the most pathetic and unhelpful human being I have ever come across. For people who are thinking about going into the police academy, make sure youre doing it for the right reasons, and make sure there are enough of you to overpower the corrupt beings who call themselves police officers.
