I used to think eating healthy was so expensive. I would decide I wanted to lose weight, put on workout clothes and head to the grocery store with a MISSION for healthy eating ((just wearing workout clothes burns calories its a secret magical trick)) and then I would fill my cart with the healthy stuff. The stuff that had health buzz words on it like GLUTEN FREE LOW FAT NO SUGAR ADDED! And a bunch of produce and lean meat...And would leave the store $300 later with no idea how it all added up so quickly. Then I would head home where I would eat some disgusting processed healthy food that was supposed to help me lose weight but tasted like crap so I was miserable and feeling like I was on a DIET **cringe*** I would end up watching half of the produce go bad and turn to waste by the end of the week because I was just throwing random stuff in the cart with no plan of when or how I would eat it all- and I would end up ordering pizza for dinner because I didnt know what to cook out of all f the random healthy looking things I bought..Because I had NO plan. So now I make a plan. I sit down and make a meal plan for the week- I then calculate exactly how much of each item I need. How many tomatoes? Cucumbers? Etc. Now my food never goes bad or to waste, I spend 50% less than I used to on groceries and I dont cave to order out NEARLY as much. I buy my produce from the produce store or farm market and I avoid all of the healthy looking foods that are overpriced solely because they look healthy. I stick with REAL foods, that come from the earth and not a factory 🌿 Putting that time and brainwork into your nutrition at the beginning of the week means that you can take your brain OUT of it for the rest of the week and just go on autopilot eating what you already planned. 💛🍉love yourself enough to make GOOD nutrition a priority.
