I used to write the first draft of my books by hand, in those big, one-day-to-a-page bound diaries. The last book I wrote by hand was Geomancer, back in 1999. Heres the first page, along with the first pages of the printed book (some names have changed). As it happens, the first draft filled the entire 365 page diary and ended halfway down the inside back cover. Anne thinks this is evidence that Im anally retentive. I deny this!
