I usually do not support other programs publicly, although i do donate too much to too much ( are you hearing me Public Radio :-) ) ... but here is a request from my awesome friend CAROL. These 30 people are on fire .. give them a hand ... FROM CAROL Hello Friends and Family, Tomorrow morning, Ill be getting up bright and early to start the three day, 55 mile walk throughout San Francisco. At 6:00am, well be meeting in the dark and misty Immigrant Point to load gear, have our opening ceremony, and start our journey. To this minute, we have raised an astounding $105,661 toward our goal of $125,000!!! This is no small task, as our group is less than 30! And, although I have surpassed my goal of $3000 (Im at $3020!!!) we still have a way to go to reach our overall goal. The thing about this walk is that its grass-roots, meaning that there are no extra frills - no money going toward paraphernalia - it is bare bones. This means that donations get to their intended source, the people who need it. If you have been meaning to donate, now is the time to put those good intentions into action. Training for this walk has been wonderful, and I always enjoy being able to put my physical energy into something something so meaningful. I hope you can join me. Any amount IS meaningful, as it ALL adds up. Ten dollars is not too small. I know we can do this. We are a small but very mighty and very determined group; look at what weve done so far! To make a contribution, click here: immediateimpactwalk.org/impact/participantpage.asp?fundid=1787&uid=3143&fkroledescid=5 If you then click on Home, you can read about the one national, and three local beneficiaries. Its not too late, we accept donations past the walk dates! (And we LOVE getting donations while were walking, too. Soooo motivating!) If you cannot donate, well wishes by text or on FB (you know we check on breaks!) are appreciated, and there are also cheering stations if you find yourself in San Francisco this weekend. We could always use the support to keep us moving!!! See below to find links to our cheering stations, start and end locations (the highlights were due to changes made before the re-opening of the govt) My warmest gratitude, carol --- Carol Abohatab carol@tapspace to have faith, to give, and to pray that the results will be good...every potential artist should have a chance - Henry Miller ** Please ask your employer if they will double your donation with a matching gift. To have a donation matched, the donor will need to fill out information requesting the addition of In Our Lifetime (not the Immediate Impact Breast Cancer Walk), to the companys Matching Gift database.
