I usually dont post serious topics other than work or an occasional silly post making fun of my life but Im asking to keep Katelyn in your prayers as we go to the orthopedic dr tomorrow for a follow up visit to determine if she will need surgery on her spine. 6 months ago at a routine sports physical the dr discovered she had scoliosis. After several drs visits, xrays, etc it was confirmed. Her spine is a complete S shape. You cant tell by looking at her and it doesnt limit her but she has a lot of pain as a result of it. Her type of curvature cant be fixed with a brace and the only thing they can do is monitor her every 3-6 months to see if it is continuing to get worse or stay the same. At best were hoping it stayed the same and no surgery is needed. Shes a tough girl but shes a little nervous about tomorrow.
