I usually post family stuff on here, but I just need to get this off my chest. My extended family has not spoken for years!!! It was mentioned to me yesterday that some dont speak to others due to past issues. Well, let me tell you this or rather ask this - Who does not have issues with something someone did or said in the past? It is what we chose to do with those issues that is what makes us who we are today. I am not asking the family to speak again, but at least - dont let those issues make you lose sight of who you are. Some dwell on these issues so much, that it will eat you alive and make you miserable. Is it worth letting someone else control you and your feelings? I would hope not!!! I did that for way too long!!! I speak to all my family that speaks to me. For those who dont choose to speak, thats fine. I laugh as I walk away because they will not have that control over me! My family lost a member yesterday. The oldest brother of 6 kids. It was a horrible thing to watch (as long as I could), but to see everyone there was touching.. That just shows that everyone can move past the issues when something horrible happens, but in everyday life they choose not to. They next few days will be rough for everyone, but it can be a healing time for some.. Let the past go and choose a positive path for yourself. Not all my family will see this because they either dont have fb or we are not friends on here... Kyle Fanning - give my love to Aunt Susan and I will see you all soon!!!!
