I vividly recall the commercial several years ago that affirmatively stated: When youre a man, you do man things What?... What the heck?.... What Are theMAN Things? Duhmb mass bs. What The Fallacy? It confused me for a moment when I thought about the statement, the directive, the expectation, etcetera. etc., etc. As I reflected on the portrayed definitions, machinations, and imagery of what the statement inferred eluded to and promoted - - I considered, concurred, and concluded ... that I am not a man - Especially not based on the criteria and distorted stereotype cookie cutter patterns that are being launched at me and others (All Others) all day, every day. I made up my mind thought to myself Im OK with being confused about What are Man Things!? and Just how that makes you or defines Man-hood. So I simply just state it as best and as accurately as I can by simply saying, Be-ing and signing.. I Am Sincerely ~ David A. N. Jackson (Whatever that means, be-comes, and encompasses - in and throughout the journey of the experience. It is and will be what defines me My Manhood, maleness, and sacred soul spirit be-ing. That is what I look forward to and strive to share as I move through this space, this time, this journey.) Often I laugh at the person behind the curtain offering directives to the minions to mindlessly buy into and obey. And mindfully I look at where my feet are placed in relation; and work to walk in the direction of my vision. Never said the choice was easy. Didnt say the slopes werent steep, But as I look at the choices that I have access and opportunity to live out or up to; This be it. P.S. Advertisers I Am not buying your nebulous and matter of fact misguidance and misdirection directed at me to comply and belie my real reality. No Thanks. and... P.P.S. Oh yeah, I Am Not selling NOR giving away the MANhood that I inherently am and possess for some new shiner model that you Man-u-factured and are attempting to goad, guilt, coerce and or bully me into buying-into whilst defending my manliness, machismo, and identity of be-ing and my relevance.
