I volunteered at the school today to help with the five year olds Halloween party, and I learned some stuff. 1. Although I will use a pencil that was chewed by an unknown person, if it has no eraser I wont even pick it up. 2. Dull pencils make me feel sad. 3. Gnomes freak me out as much as (if not more than) clowns, especially when creepy-gnome-costume-kid sneaks up behind me and whispers HI. Whats your name. 4. If I get scared enough, pee will leak out. 5. I am instinctively willing to stab a child with aforementioned dull pencil if he/she is dressed like a gnome. To avoid accidental-reactive stabbing, a timeout, a trip to the drinking fountain, serious restraint of my panic reflex, and ignoring my feral instincts are required to keep it from happening. 6. Store bought treats (now required at the public school my kids attend) are not even close to as good as home baked ones, and do not have the same calming, home food effect. Im pretty sure if I just stop baking I wont eat any more cookies, because the boxed ones are gross. (give me real butter) 7. evil gnome + panicky fear + wet underpants + bad cookies = extra cup of coffee + clothing change by 10 am YAY HALLOWEEN! :)
