I want to address a question that has been raised a couple of times: was today more fair than yesterday? YES. Ill explain why, but please understand that we feel not just sympathy but empathy for those of you who did not get the pitch sessions you want. Please also know that hope is still VERY MUCH alive. And now to the very fair question of fairness: We are so very sorry that our system isnt as smooth as wed like it to be. My husband, who is one of the best software development consultants and programmers in the business, is already building an entirely new system for us to use next year. But weve got what weve got for this year. And today was 100% as fair as we can make it. All the errors today came down to two things: user error or too many people on the system. Neither is fixable. Redoing it like we did yesterday will just be the same problem again. Its pretty much exactly like when people are trying to buy tickets for a huge concert. Youre there, you click purchase the second the tickets go on sale, and you still dont get through. The server lets through who it lets through. Thats luck of the draw and thats what happened today. It will happen every time we do this. To the question of how was today fair and yesterday wasnt: yesterday the only people who got through were those lucky enough to see a link in a comment trail. That cut out anyone who tried to register simply using the link they were sent without ever looking at the Facebook page. There was no way for those people to take the same shot. Its only fair when everyone has the same chance, and thats what happened today. Even if you are POSITIVE you did it exactly right, pushed ADD TO EXISTING ORDER from the very first button click and it didnt cooperate, that was you getting bumped because of system overload due to high demand. It stinks. We are trying to figure out how to accommodate more people even as we speak. We will try our best to take care of as many of you as we can. And I mean that in the nurturing take care of you, not the solve you as a problem sense. We do this for you. We will come up with as many solutions as we can for you. Hang tight with us!
