I want to apologize to any good honest politician I have painted with the same brush I painted the bad dishonest ones with when I went on one of my Facebook rants! Seriously! There is no punch line coming. Last night, for some strange reason, I thought about what kind of person would even want to be a politician in the first place...AND what was at stake in the political PROFESSION. At every level of government, it takes more money than most people have just to run. If they lose, it could destroy them financially for the rest of their lives. If they win... they better keep on winning because every year they are out of a real job like you and I have, the less chance they have of getting back in the rat race at the same income they had before taking office. Politics is a rougher, tougher, high-stakes, risky, dangerous profession than most of us think. Think about that.... while Im putting the rods and reels in my boat. ps....
