I want to clarify something in regards to the chicken. We are **not** insinuating that survivors are chicken - its just the opposite. We all know brain aneurysms, AVMs and hemorrhagic strokes are scary, life-threatening conditions, and that we as survivors are most definitely *not* chicken. We are celebrating the fact that we are strong, we are brave, that we face these conditions even though they are scary. Its a way to catch peoples attention and to challenge the general public to not be a chicken by helping us promote awareness. My apologies if I did not explain that well in my initial announcement. Over the next few weeks, we will have more mini-challenges that we will ask you all to participate in to help increase awareness. Those will help educate the general public about these conditions. While we understand that not everyone will be on board with the theme we have chosen, I do ask that everyone be kind enough to keep the negativity to a minimum. We have a group of survivors and family members (all volunteers) who have worked tirelessly to make this happen, and they dont deserve the kinds of things being directed toward them, nor do I. No, this campaign may not be perfect, but we are raising awareness, and that is our goal.
