I want to do a reality check, sorta lay out a few things regarding Islam. The impetus? Well, I just see far too much nonsense on FB and Twitter (plus hear a bunch on radio) from people who havent spent 1/1000 the time researching the issues that I have... 1) There is no proof Obummer is a Muslim. In fact, he pisses off Muslims so often that a legitimate analysis says hes simply a far leftist who is predisposed to getting extra-bamboozled by Muslims on account of his run-a-way father. This is a tricky one because I can see how a right-thinking person could come down on the other side (but I still think the conclusion isnt supported by the facts). 2) While there is no such thing as moderate Islam, there are people who dont act out subversively or violently but still call themselves Muslims. I label these people faux-Muslims, but many people think of them as moderate Muslims. ***BTW, always be sure to separate the belief system (Islam) from the person (Muslim) in the case of faux-Muslims. This is critical for winning the intellectual and PR wars against Islam. 3) Islamic State, ISIS, IS, or whatever you want to call it, is REAL Islam. Muhammad raped, terrorized, and murdered his way to the very first caliphate 14 centuries ago. Todays Jihadis are simply living the life Muhammad told them real Muslims must.
