I want to explain something...my posts about Daphne and my marriage arent a feeble attempt to hang on to a lost love. I am sharing with people some of what I remember to be the glue that initially strengthened our relationship. I really thought and still believe marriage is not to be entered into lightly. It is a holy sacrament which we as aware, informed and faithful people should only enter into once we have learned the spiritual principles that we are expected to possess in order to offer integrity to the VOWS we make to each other in front of God himself. When did marriages become disposable ? When did the sanctity of making vows to one another for the purpose of marriage become trivial? Why will some people work so hard to obtain material goods and work so little at keeping their marriage healthy? We will shine our cars, polish our jewelry, dress up our outsides...we will do that with regularity and sometimes reverence but if our spouse wants to talk about something important to THEM and Lord forbide it is during a game or an infomercial. Ok....I think everyone gets my position on devotion to ones spouse and family. Time for some beauty in what was: When I needed a partner to lift something, build something, create something....to be watching my back...having Daphne by my side was a big plus.
