I want to formally apologize to ALL of my Facebook Family & Friends for my long absence and my lack of communication of recent. I have been very ill from severe anemia which I have had most of my life but it has been life-threatening for the last 2 years. My system cannot manufacture enough red blood cells to allow my organs and body to function properly. The red blood cells transport oxygen to your lungs and your entire body so without them, you will surely die. As a result I feel tired, weak, and can’t focus or concentrate. This has caused multiple Hospitalizations and many lost days at work. On June 5, 2013 I had a blood transfusion after 3 more days in the Hospital. I had refused the transfusion 2 years before. According to the Doctors, my red cell count should have been .45 and I was at .06. They refused to take “No” for answer this time because it was now lower than 2 years ago. As a result of the transfusion and stress, less than 2 weeks later I had a stroke. Against my better judgment and pressure from work, I returned to work a few days after that. I was in pain, tired, and weak and behind my goals because of missed time. I had long work days sometimes with no breaks and no way to get food. There were massive pains and pressure in my chest. Eventually, I lost my job. I am currently trying hard to take care of myself right now. But with a total loss of income and insurance, things are extremely difficult. So I am asking you if you or anyone that you know can spare even $1.00 (cash) that you can send to me so that I can eat properly and pay for necessary medications. I am currently on 7. I am looking at holistic ways to improve my condition and exercise regularly to make my heart stronger and recover. I have another Doctor’s appointment in 2 months. If I have not improved, they said another transfusion is necessary. You can imagine how that makes me feel after having a stroke and my so far staggering Hospital bills to the tune of $15,000.00! I hope you find it in your heart to help me right now. I hope to pay it forward to someone else in the future. I will be eternally grateful.
