I want to let people know before you read on that this is not a complete dig at Newcastle , today was a performance which in my opinion was not up to scratch ... It is all over Facebook with status updates saying we can beat chelsea yet we cant beat sunderland , there is some positives that I am sure our fans can take from todays game but I feel that at the back we where still letting average players past us , the defence played very well for 60 minutes of the game but it seems like thier heads dropped for the last 30 and for me this is one of the reasons we lost the game , in Pardews desperate attempt to try and win the game , which is understandable he brought on Armstrong cissé and cabella which made me think that there was a gap in the midfield . I thought it might have been a mistake taking goufrann off as I think he played a lot better today than he has in previous appearances for the toon but all in all I think that today we should have at least put 1 goal past sunderland from a lot of the chances we had and I think it was the type of game where we should be coming away with a point , comment below what you thought of todays game and sorry for writing such a long post
