I want to praise my daughter Heidi in public (thus embarrassing her totally) who has taken care of me better than any doctor or nurse these last few difficult days. We laugh and say she now has the moral high ground because she realized something was going wrong long before I did. Stood by me. Stood near me. (Stood almost on top of me!) Advocated for me, pushed me, pushed hospital staff. And now home is even continued long past the necessity to bring me breakfast in bed. She deserves hugs and kisses (but shrugs them off), a raise (she says I cant afford it), and a professional massage. (That at least I bought for her.) And the six bottles of wine which she took from my wine rack--which I happily gave her. But she also needs to here Huzzahs from the gathering throngs, Oh--and by the way, she is an amazing writer and goes to schools to talk about books and stories and writing and does that amazingly, too. Plus speeches and workshops. Shes great at those, too. So now that I am on the mend, book her up folks. Shes more than worth the price you will pay her. Trust me. I know.
